4th June 2010: As the residential sector recovers and Boris Johnson looks likely to be handed control of London's £1.1 billion housing budget, the NLA is bringing together the leading players to review the latest thinking on design, funding and delivery. Partner Alex Ely will be speaking at this conference taking place on the 8th June. Further event details.

6th April 2010: mæ has been appointed to lead a series of Design Awareness Training seminars for the Homes and Communities Agency. Initially aimed at the HCA's East of England team and followed by the East Midlands it is part of a programme that we are working on with CABE to roll out across the HCA regions. Seminars will cover design management, procurement and stewardship of the built environment.

5th March 2010: mæ has been shortlised, with partner Alison Brooks Architects, for the pilot phase of the Clay Country Eco-town. The project involves the sustainable regeneration of 700 hectares of former industrial land. The vision is to create a positive legacy in order to promote the mid Cornwall china clay area as a national centre of innovation in sustainable living, working, education, tourism and recreation for the china clay communities.

15th February 2010: Alex Ely contributed to the BBC's 'Inside Out' programme on Monday 15th February, discussing the need for establishing space standards for new, privately built housing in London. Watch the programme here.
