In December Alex will be speaking at the Fourth Moscow Urban Forum on the subject Legislation for Development: Legal Aspects of City Governance. A Duty of Care for the Quality of the Urban Realm

 

 


new project: tybalds estate

1st August 2012: Mæ has been appointed, with Duggan Morris Architects, for an estate regeneration project for the London Borough of Camden. The project will add around 80 new homes to Tybalds Estate in London WC1, infilling underused spaces with new apartments and houses and improved public realm.


 

hillington square gets planning consent

5th July 2012: Our proposals to regenerate 315 homes on the Hillington Square Estate in Kings Lynn, for Freebridge Community Housing, have now received planning consent. Chairman of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, Vivienne Spikings said: "For me, it puts the ‘king’ back into King’s Lynn!"


 

Alex Ely appointed to new DC CABE expert panel

1st July 2012: mæ Partner Alex Ely joins an illustrious group of built environment experts, as part of Design Council CABE's new 'Built Environment Expert Panel'. Other experts include Bob Allies, Rab Bennetts, Alison Brooks and Ken Shuttleworth.


 

Mæ's shortlisted Peabody 150 scheme on exhibition

10th May 2012: Mæ's proposal for the Plaistow Hospital site redevelopment is on exhibition at the NLA as one of 20 shortlisted schemes featured in the '150 Homes for 150 Years: A Peabody housing competition' from 10 May- 9 June 2012. The scheme was designed in collaboration with Stitch and C20 futureplanners.


 

New Arcadians launched

8th May 2012: Mæ is one of the featured practices in Lucy Bullivant's new book 'New Arcadians- emerging UK architects' launched on 8 May. The book published by Merrell 'profiles the most dynamic and innovative up-and-coming architectural practices working in the UK today'.
