mæ to create pattern book of house types

mæ is part of a consortium competitively selected to prepare a pattern book of house types for South Yorkshire. Commissioned by Transform South Yorkshire's Delivering Design Quality Initiative, the pattern book will look to raise the standard of new housing in the region, and will be available for use by local authorities and developer partners. mæ partner on jury for Europan 10 Ireland

Alex Ely was invited to be on the jury for Europan 10 in Ireland, and recently participated in two days of judging for the sites in Dublin and Galway. He joined an illustrious panel which included Yvonne Farrell (Grafton Architects), Gerard Maccreanor (Maccreanor Lavington), Edward Jones (Dixon Jones Ltd), Aidan O'Connor (Department of the Environment) and poet Theo Dorgan.


 

draft housing design guide launched

The London Housing Design Guide, developed by mæ for the Mayor’s London Development Agency, was launched for consultation today at the London Housing Strategy Conference.  The Guide simplifies the range of other housing design guidance - such as Lifetime Homes and Housing Quality Indicators – and aims to set a new benchmark for the design and quality of London’s new housing. mæ appointed to Sheffield design panel

"Sheffield announces hotly contested architects' panel"

mæ has been competitively selected from more that 100 submissions onto the Sheffield City Council Architects Panel alongside Proctor and Matthews Architects, Hawkins Brown and Maccreanor Lavington. We were also chosen for the Urban Design Panel and will be working with the city on its programme of housing and urban regeneration projects over the next few years.


 

mæ wins new urban design training contract

mæ has been competitively selected to run a series of Planning Foundation workshops and Design Workshops for Urban Design London over the course of the next three years. Workshops are targeted at London's planning officers, highways engineers and other GLA and Local Authority officers.
