Mæ's eco-town designs selected

27th October 2010: Mæ has been competitively selected by Eco-Bos to design carbon neutral housing as part of their eco-town project in St Austell Cornwall.


 

Mæ's New Islington homes to start on site in 2010

 

9th September 2010: Mæ is pleased to announce that planning permission has been secured for 18 new family houses at Urban Splash’s New Islington site in Manchester. Developed on behalf of Great Places Housing Group, the dwellings consist of a mixture of bright and spacious terraced and semi-detached homes with gardens.

“The houses were designed with the needs of new and returning residents to the area, we want this to be a happy and sociable place”….said partner Michael Howe, “Give a man a balcony and he eats on his own. Give a man a garden and he barbecues for life.....with all his mates”.

new project: camden housing

3rd September 2010: mæ is currently working with Camden Council designing innovative housing types to help intensify and develop a number of infill sites in the borough.


 

mayor's housing guide launched

19th August 2010: The London Mayor's Housing Design Guide is launched today following a period of consultation on the Draft, which was published last November. Mæ has been working with the LDA and Design for London reviewing the responses and editing the draft document. Nearly 100 responses were received. The Guide sets the requirements for development on LDA land and supports the GLA's forthcoming Housing Supplementary Planning Guidance for London.


 

new project: colville estate, hackney

23rd July 2010: Mæ has been selected, with partners Karakusevic Carson Architects, to draw up a masterplan and prepare an outline planning application for the regeneration of the Colville Estate in Hackney. Working closely with residents and the London Borough of Hackney we are designing a scheme that re-integrates the estate into the wider neighbourhood and offers high quality housing and public spaces.
