mæ has been developing a 10 point strategy for new sustainable urban extensions and eco-towns. The strategy addresses questions relating to sustainable construction and low carbon technologies as well as sustainable forms of governance and social inclusion. To be effective though, a plan needs buy-in from the various agents tasked with delivery. The 10 point plan is embedded in a Citizens' Charter advocated by local government and signed by all developing or residing in the new neighbourhood.
